Christmas 2010

So we busted out the gingerbread house kit a couple days before Christmas. So, who cares about the gingerbread house, what I can't get over about this picture is how beautiful Emilie's face is!! My goodness she is a beautiful little girl!
So on Christmas Eve we went Caroling with the Millars at the Burn Unit. (The Millars are an awesome family in our ward. Dee is in his residency right now, and Camilla is my visiting teacher who we also do Joy School with.) When we finished caroling the staff at the hospital let all of our children pick a present from under the Christmas Tree. It was neat for the children to recieve a gift like that after they had done such a service, but all the moms and dads really felt the need to remind the children that most of the time when we do service there isn't such an immediate "blessing." Very sweet experience though. Camilla's mother is in the Tabernacle Choir, so I felt pretty cool that I got to sing with someone in our beloved Mormon Choir!!

So, after caroling, the Millars invited us over for some food and to read the Christmas Story. They even found some "angel" wings for little Kimmerle to participate! The Angel is a little distracted...
This is Emilie as Mary riding on the Donkey (Justin) with little Roger as Joseph.
I'm pretty sure the wise man's gift was a pretty funny joke...
Ahhh, Christmas Eve. I felt it necessary to take a picture of our ghetto Christmas Tree. Kimmerle pulled the tree over so many times, one of the legs of the stand finally broke. We taped it up as best we could, but still needed to nail the top of the tree to the wall to keep it strait :)
After Santa came, but long before the girls woke up!
Aaaand Santa delivered! Emilie got her unicorn pillow pet!!! Ever since one of her friends from Joy School got a pillow pet, back in September, Emilie has asked for a pillow pet for Christmas. We told her she would have to ask Santa. And though she refused to sit on Santa's lap (the many chances the she had) she did approach Santa at The Gateway, with her Daddy at her side, and asked Santa for a unicorn pillow pet.
The girls got Daddy a book that came with Tickle Monster Gloves!
The Doll House!! Some serious SPOILING from Grandma Chandler!!
The day after Christmas, my parents flew Justin, me, and the girls out to Texas to be with the rest of the family for a week! It was awesome! My parents have really taken care of my sanity during Justin's all consuming medical school. They have flown me and the girls out during crucial studying months, they've flown out, sometimes just sending Mom out! And of course taking care of the costs for all of us to be together for Christmas! We hope to one day be able to repay them.

And of course we had to get some good updated Family Pictures!
